Samburu is where you see the animals nowhere else in Kenya has, the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, the 'Special Five' found almost nowhere south of here. It has been the single biggest gap in this catalogue all year, and Ashnil Samburu Camp is the fix, a proper full-board camp with two shared game drives a day and return airstrip transfers, in genuinely different country from the Mara. Three nights is enough to actually see what makes this landscape distinct, arid, riverine, sparse in a way that rewards patience.

Day 1 Arrival
Transfer into camp and head straight out for an afternoon drive, your first look at wildlife you won't find anywhere else in the country.
Day 2 The Special Five
A full day tracking reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and beisa oryx, species specific to this ecosystem.
Day 3 Departure
A final morning drive before transfer out.
